PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY

Helping Children Move, Explore, and Reach Their Potential
At Building Kid Steps, LLC, we believe movement is the foundation for learning, independence, and participation in everyday life. Our pediatric physical therapy team is dedicated to helping children build the strength, balance, coordination, and confidence they need to explore their world and achieve meaningful milestones.
Every child develops at their own pace, and our therapists create individualized treatment plans that build upon each child's strengths while addressing areas of need. -
Child-centered, with goals tailored to each child's unique needs and abilities.

Family-focused, providing education and home activities to support continued progress outside the clinic.

Fun and engaging, incorporating play into every session to motivate children and build confidence.
-
Collaborative, working closely with our speech-language pathologists, physicians, families, and educators to support the whole child.
We celebrate every achievement—whether it's a baby's first independent steps or a child gaining the confidence to keep up with friends on the playground.

The Importance of Consistent Attendance & Home Practice:
Your Child's Success is a Partnership
At Building Kid Steps, LLC, we are committed to helping every child reach their greatest potential. We believe the best outcomes occur when therapists and families work together as a team.
Therapy is much more than the 30- or 45-minute session your child attends each week. Real progress happens when skills learned in therapy are practiced at home and carried over into everyday routines. Consistent attendance and home practice are two of the most important factors in helping your child achieve meaningful progress.

Why Attendance Matters
Every therapy session builds upon the previous one. When appointments are missed, your child's progress can slow because opportunities to practice, learn new skills, and build on previous successes are lost.
Children make the greatest gains when therapy is consistent.
While we completely understand that illnesses, emergencies, and important appointments happen, frequent absences make it much more difficult for your therapist to help your child reach their goals.

Home Practice Makes the Difference
Therapy alone cannot "fix" communication or motor challenges.
Most children attend therapy for 30 to 60 minutes only one or two times each week. Lasting progress requires practice throughout the week.
Your therapist will often provide home activities, exercises, or strategies to use between visits. These activities help your child:
-
Generalize new skills into everyday life
-
Build confidence
-
Learn through repetition
-
Make faster, more meaningful progress
Just a few minutes of practice each day can make a tremendous difference.

We Are Partners
Your therapist brings clinical expertise.
You know your child better than anyone.
When we combine our knowledge and work together, children are most successful.
Your commitment to attending appointments, participating in therapy, and completing home practice gives your child the greatest opportunity to grow.

If You Need to Miss an Appointment
We know life happens.
If your child is sick, has an emergency, or has another unavoidable conflict, please contact us as soon as possible. Whenever our schedule allows, we encourage families to make up missed appointments.
Because make-up appointments are scheduled around existing patients, they are often offered at a different day or time than your regular appointment. We appreciate your flexibility as we work to find an available opening.

Please Call—Don't No-Show
If you know you cannot attend your appointment, please call us as early as possible.
This allows us to:
-
Offer your appointment time to another child who is waiting for therapy.
-
Better serve families on our waiting list.
-
Make the most of our therapists' available treatment time.
Our clinic has limited appointment openings, and many families are waiting for services. When an appointment is missed without notice, that valuable therapy time cannot be used to help another child.

Every Appointment Matters
When you keep your appointments, practice at home, and communicate with your therapy team, you are giving your child the best opportunity to succeed.
Together, we can help your child build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to thrive.
